Formulation with integrity
Scent is powerful. It shapes mood, memory, and space.
That’s why we approach fragrance with care and consideration.
Rather than relying solely on essential oils, we collaborate with experienced fragrance creators in England to develop professionally formulated, IFRA-compliant fragrance oils. Each fragrance is carefully screened to exclude known harmful ingredients and crafted to meet strict safety and compliance standards.
This allows us to create scents that feel layered, refined, and balanced, never flat, never medicinal, while remaining mindful of how fragrance exists in your home.
Ingredients we avoid:
Animal Fats, Oils and Musks: Because we don't believe it's necessary to exploit animals to create a beautifully smelling candle.
Lead: All our wicks are lead free to avoid lead particles spreading through the air when our candles are lit.
Parabens: Our candles are formulated without parabens. While commonly used as preservatives in personal care, parabens serve no functional purpose in candles. Their exclusion aligns with our preference for simplicity and intentional formulation.
Paraffin: We avoid paraffin wax in favour of a bespoke coconut and soy wax blend. Our chosen wax burns more evenly, produces less visible soot, and allows fragrance to diffuse softly through your space, creating a more refined burn experience that feels effortless and considered.
Phthalates: We formulate our fragrances without phthalates. This choice reflects our commitment to modern formulation standards and allows us to craft scents that feel balanced and sophisticated, without relying on outdated fragrance carriers.
Synthetic Dyes: We do not use synthetic dyes in our candles. By keeping our wax naturally creamy and understated, we maintain the integrity of the burn while preserving the quiet, minimal aesthetic that defines Eryn.
SLS: We do not use SLS in our products. Often associated with foaming personal care products, SLS has no role in candle formulation. Its exclusion reflects our streamlined, purpose-led approach to ingredients.
Low-Grade or Unscreened Fragrance Oils
We avoid low-grade or mass-produced fragrance oils.
Instead, we collaborate with experienced fragrance creators in England to develop professionally formulated, screened to exclude known harmful ingredients and designed specifically for clean-burning candle use.
This approach allows us to create scents that feel layered, refined, and balanced, more like fine fragrance for the home than traditional aromatherapy.
